Are they a threat? -Naveena

Recently, there has been a significant increase in the number of bears in the Emerald forest. A few days ago, we asked a few residents of Emerald forest about the increasing bear population. A soldier who was sent here on a top secret mission by General hudson, said that he kills the bears because of the increasing population. He said that he uses Pistols and snipers equipped with silencers to kill the bears. When asked about his top secret mission, the soldier refused to say more, only nodding once when asked if the mission had anything to do with the bears. Farmer Joe, a 40 year old farmer, whose family has lived in this forest for 5 generations has also noticed the increase in the bear population. He said that “the government has sent soldiers”. He has also expressed his worry for his 10 children whom have all been skipping school for the past few weeks due to the increase in the bear population. According to the residents, the bear population is indeed increasing but the question many are asking is are the bears really a treat? So far, there have been no reported cases of deaths caused by bears and there have also been no reported bear attacks.
Also, another thing worrying some of the residents is the rumor of the giant lizard roaming around the forest. Our news-crew decided to interview some nomadic tribespeople from the Luka Luka tribe on this strange topic. A 140 year-old witch doctor from the Luka Luka tribe confirmed the rumor of the giant lizard saying that he had been the one to enlarge his pet lizard so as to make it easier for him to find it. He said that his pet lizard was now somewhere in the middle of the forest near the school. This might cause some parents to worry about their children who attend the school in the middle of the forest but according to  the witch doctor, the lizard is harmless. When asked if there was anything else he wanted to magnify, the witch doctor said, “Other than myself, no.”
